Supporting MRBA There are many ways in which you can support MRBA, its mission and its activities.
Volunteering Assisting us with your volunteer labor is very important and enables us to perform fieldwork, water sampling, and river clean-ups. No experience is required. You will enjoy the companionship of others who have also volunteered their time, and the satisfaction of knowing you have invested several hours to improving the health of the Missisquoi watershed. Become a member of MRBA. We can use your help in many ways – from participating in field work or planning meetings, to talking with friends and neighbors about watershed issues. And much more. A cash donation is not required to be come a member, but it would definitely help! Grants alone do not cover our operational costs. Become a Member ! Join the MRBA. River Festival Begun in 2010, River Festival is MRBA's annual fund raising event. The Festival features live music provided by local bands, food, portage race, beer tent, and much more! Bring your kids and enjoy a fun-filled time that will benefit MRBA. See our calendar of events for the date and location of this year's River Festival. TD Affinity Program If you are a customer of TD Bank we invite you to have your accounts linked to MRBA's Affinity Program (#A1369). This will not cost you anything and the confidentiality of your accounts will be maintained. Once we have 50 TD customers signed up with our Affinity Program, the bank will make a donation to MRBA. The amount of the donation will be a percentage of the balance of all the accounts held by the customers in MRBA's program. Contact us (933-9009 or mrba@pshift.com) or your TD branch to sign up with MRBA's Affinity Program #A1369. As we strive to bring more attention to the water quality problems in the Missisquoi watershed, we ask for your support! We need to show legislators that there is a strong constituency here that is concerned and is working to improve the situation – but we can’t do it alone. Your support will add clout to the over 15,600 volunteer hours that MRBA has mobilized since 1996.
